'Thie dy Vea' is an independent Christian Retreat House set in the town of Peel on the west coast of the Isle of Man. Our name means 'House of Life' in the Manx Gaelic language. We love to welcome guests who come on retreat or for a short break or visit.
The house has 8 guest rooms and is set in a walled garden. It's just a few minutes walk into the heart of Peel with its old and new cathedrals, sandy beaches, ancient castle, views towards Ireland and magnificent sunsets. The island has a rich Celtic Christian history, many ancient Celtic and Viking carved crosses and the remains of ancient Keeills (chapels) dating back more than a thousand years.
This is a place to find refreshment and peace. With regular ferries and flights from many regional airports we're closer than you might think.
