Launde Abbey

Launde Abbey is a Christian retreat house in the heart of the East Midlands countryside. With a nine hundred year history, a praying community holding three services of worship daily in our ancient Chapel, thirty nine bedrooms, excellent dining facilities and multiple meeting rooms of all sizes, we're the perfect venue for a personal retreat, a church group, conferences, gatherings and meetings small or large. The market towns of Oakham, Uppingham, Melton Mowbray and Market Harborough are all nearby, providing excellent road and rail links across the Midlands, to London, and beyond. We offer fully catered accommodation: superb bedrooms in the Elizabethan house and remodeled Jacobean Stables, and full breakfast, hot lunch and table served dinner in our spacious dining rooms. There's plenty of space to relax in our sitting rooms, library, and meeting spaces, and in addition to our medieval Chapel there are other prayer spaces around the site, including an outdoor worship area....
