Listing Description

Reference A240 Apeldoorn : Home to a family with one child under 5 years, and 2 in the 6-12 age group, looking to house-swap in school holidays.

This early 1920's detached house is on a quiet street 1km from the city centre. Apeldoorn is surrounded by forests, one hour away from Amsterdam by car or train.

Nearby there is a train and bus station. Lots of places are easy to reach by public transport, or cycling and house-swappers are welcome to use the bikes.

This home was originally built for the workers of the railways, and has since been sensitively extended and modernised. Downstairs is a spacious kitchen and living room, (no TV) toilet and hobby room. Upstairs is the bathroom with bathtub, a shower and toilet, and the bedrooms.

They have a big and 'beautiful green garden' which has a few terraces, a shed with an outdoor kitchen, a vegetable garden, planters , trampoline, sandpit, playhouse and swing.

The family attend Hersteld Hervormde Kerk, where the services are fairly traditional and all in Dutch, but translations are available on request. This is a thriving fellowship with around 400 people attending the morning service and 300 in the evening.
