Ref:- A249 Home to a retired couple who would like to have some holidays in the UK .
The house is out in the country, but only 10 minutes drive from a variety of stores and restaurants, the ocean and redwood forests! There is a bus line near the house, but in the United States it's best to have a car. The area is very beautiful and many tourists come here.
The accommodation comprises an open floor plan which includes a very large living room with a big balcony overlooking redwood trees and there is a grand piano in this room. That opens to a breakfast nook with lots of windows and a state-of-the-art kitchen, and through to the large dining room. The master bedroom has a bathroom, with Jacuzzi bathtub. The last room is a room that can be a bedroom or family room, with a very comfortable pull-out sofa-bed. There are three bathrooms.
The deck off of the living room has a barbecue, a garden table and chairs and umbrella, and other garden chairs. Outside there is a garden to the side of the house with a children's play area - swings and a slide. Next to the swings is a smokeless fire pit and another barbecue along with a table and chairs. That garden has a lawn. In the back is a large grassy area with trees, including fruit trees.
The couple worship at Calvary Chapel in nearby Aptos. Visitors would be made very welcome!

Established in 2003, 'Christian House and Church Swap’ (CHACS) is a UK based house-swap holiday organisation.
There are registered members throughout the UK, Europe and further afield. House-swapping works well for everyone; single people, married couples, friends and families. Instead of paying a substantial amount of money for holiday accommodation, and then leaving your house empty, you can simply swap homes with other Christians!
It's a different and exciting way to holiday!
COST.... There is no charge for registration or membership. Only if/when a house-swap takes place do we ask you to pay an administration fee of £50. For second and subsequent swaps in the same year, the admin fee is £25.

USING YOUR HOME....Your house, however humble or grand, will provide a great holiday base for someone else.Your locality, so familiar to you, has lots to offer to someone new to the area.
SECURITY...There is a rise in house burglary when occupants are away from home. By house swapping you have automatic Christian house sitters! When people register with us, we contact their church leader. This is for everyone’s peace of mind.
LOCAL COMMUNITY... Another great feature is that you will holiday in a local community. A local person, friend or neighbour, will have agreed to give you the key, check that you are okay and to deal with any queries. That person will also be able to give you up-to-date information about nearby amenities, local events, places to visit, best pubs, good restaurants and so on.
PETS AND PLANTS… House swappers are usually happy to water the garden and indoor plants, and feed the cat and goldfish! Mutual dog owners are generally happy for the dogs to be included in the swap.
IT’S YOUR CHOICE!...You get to choose from the descriptions of over 200 properties, mostly in the UK, but abroad too, all found in the online brochure. You pay the administration fee only when your house swap is confirmed. And you might want to swap once or several times a year, or only once every 2 or 3 years. There is never any pressure on you to make a specific choice. The choice is yours!
